Dear Friend,

My cross country bike ride journey is over now but the memories will never fade.

It was amazing to me how so many people we met along the way have been impacted by diabetes. As we talked to and told people what we were doing and why, they would tell us countless stories about either themselves or loved-ones with diabetes. From California to Mesa, Arizona, on Indian reservations, in Mobile, Alabama and Florida we heard of so many afflicted. Close friends as well as total strangers would log on the web site to see our progress, offer good wishes and help in our fund-raising effort from sea to shining sea.

Stephanie and I would like to thank you again for your contribution to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in honor of Stephanie. Together we raised over $5500 that will help children that struggle to live with juvenile diabetes everyday. Your contribution really made the difference and we couldn‘t have done it without you! Thank you!

Your contribution makes you an important and valuable part of something that will help the over 1.3 million Americans with type 1 diabetes. JDRF anticipates raising over $80 million nationally from their Walk to Cure Diabetes held around the country this year to help find a cure for diabetes. If you did not get a chance to visit my Ride to Cure Diabetes web site you can still see pictures and read stories from the trip by going to www.richfielducc.org and clicking on Enter then on Rev. Ray's Bicycle trip across the North American Continent; photos, thoughts, and reflections.

We are getting closer to a cure for diabetes and when we do find that cure you can be proud that you helped. Please visit Stephanie’s web page too at www.setforacure.org to see all she is doing to educate and advocate as well as information about her other activities.

In Christian Love,

Ray and Stephanie
